Great New Tool Sharpening System from Jet
Jet have announced a new wet sharpener and have taken time and trouble in making sure it’s right before releasing it. The result is a slow speed system thats packed with features at a market leading price.
For instance, the motor - a 1.8 Amp, 120V induction unit - is enclosed to keep water and debris out. It’s also adjustable from 90 to 150 rpm so you ensure optimum speed for your sharpening task. The water tray is enlarged so you don’t get run-off all over your bench and there’s a storage tray that sits neatly underneath to keep your accessories in (which are compatible with the more expensive Tormek system).
Woodworkers who buy it are getting a quality piece of kit, as you’d expect from Jet. The basic unit consists of stone grader, straight edge jig, angle set-up jig, support arm, magnified bevel checking gauge, honing compound and training DVD. The price is very competitive at just $299.99.
